What a start to my new year My most loyal fishing buddy is no longer around. When the mates couldn't make it she was always up for the day out and more than happy to bivvy up. Good for a cuddle when the winter Pike fishing was a bit cold and always happy with whatever food I took along or cooked on the bank. Didn't moan once about having "Just one more cast" or about how much it rained. Worst decision I've ever had to make was to have her put to sleep at 7pm today. Why do we have pets when we know we'll be heartbroken when we outlive them? So much pleasure and companionship for only 7 years then gone in the space of 2 days. At least she put up a good fight. R.I.P. Flo my darling. Giles.

Sorry to learn of your loss Giles. Obviously a much loved pet, so I'm sure that your decision must have been the right one, however bad it feels.

Awful that Giles, sad to hear of your loss mate.
Not many people understand how you can become attached to pets but once they are gone its heartbreaking.
Take care mate

I know how you must feel mate, my old lab charlie is laid on the sofa with me now. One thing for sure if/when anything happens to him i'll be a hell of a lot more upset than I was when the wife fooked off.
